I released Hovis Presenter version 0.2 today, adding the network support. You can now remotely control one or slave machines doing your presentations.
A couple of bugfixes have also been made.
It’s pretty feature complete now, just some UI tweaks and its finished.

Right I’ve found a solution for laptops not detecting a projector (in certain circumstances). It isn’t pretty, but maybe an electrical engineer can pick this up and show how to make a compatible plug to get this working. More after the break… (more…)

I’m getting close to releasing a beta version of Hovis Presenter in the next couple of days. It is lightweight presentation software (think Powerpoint without any editing facilities) but with very fast video start up, current/next slide displayed for the presenter and an option script hint. It is free and open source.
